Q Stack is a dynamic vertical campus situated on a prime landmark site on QUT. It is the southern gateway to the campus and the Brisbane CBD. Its striking beacon serves as an illuminating landmark and creates a captivating visual experience while adding way finding throughout the city.
To maximize the available space, the building envelope was meticulously designed to allow for double-height voids on alternating levels, providing generous balconies and connections to natural environments on each floor. The vertical verandah edges are cleverly cut at varying angles to capture unique vistas at every double-height element, creating an ever-changing visual experience for occupants and visitors alike.
The tower’s innovative design enables it to house various functions, including undergraduate and postgraduate study spaces, a technology hub, research space, community areas, and public green spaces. Q Stack’s diverse range of spaces is designed to cater to the needs of different users, creating a vibrant and inclusive campus environment.
